Program to Reach Employee Potential: Upgrades skills and wages for employees in several key entry-level positions at High Point Regional Hospital, coordinated by High Point Regional Health System (HPRHS) will partner with Guilford Technical Community College (GTCC) and Reading Connections, Inc.
The total funding awarded by PTP through these three grants is over $97,000. Including leveraged funds, the total value of the three projects is nearly $200,000, the partnership said in a release.
The grant program helps encourage new approaches to work force development across the Piedmont Triad and ensure that these opportunities are accessible to the region”s rural communities and minority and underserved populations. The program is funded through the U.S. Department of Labor Workforce Innovation in Regional Economic Development (WIRED) grant awarded to the PTP.
